What causes arthritis?
Arthritis is usually a problem in older dogs, but the condition can develop from an early age due to problems with bone and joint development. Depending on the cause, arthritis may affect one joint, or any number of your dog's joints. Most cases develop as a result of abnormal rubbing within the joint caused by:
joint instability (e.g. after ligament damage)
damage to or abnormal cartilage development
damage caused by trauma (e.g. fractures)
Should you walk a dog with arthritis?
Used with a dog front leg arthritis brace, dogs with arthritis will benefit from controlled exercise. Gentle, regular dog walks are better than an hour behind the ball or running with another dog.
A Dog Leg Brace is a device specifically designed to help rehabilitate, support or protect a dog's legs. Used to help dogs deal with various leg problems, such as joint strains, ligament strains, arthritis, etc.
A dog front leg brace can help relieve your dog's pain and discomfort, provide additional stability and support, and help your dog regain sports functions or undergo rehabilitation training.
