• 1、Do hip braces work for dogs with hip dysplasia?
• A hip brace is best for pets that are still active, can stand and walk on their own, and are dealing with mild to moderate hip dysplasia. A hip dysplasia brace is beneficial for active pets of any age. It may also be worn for post-surgical support during the recovery process. This can be due to mild hip dysplasia or to stretching of the ligaments that stabilize the joint. It may be that a young dog will grow out of the problem, in which case a brace may support the growing joint and reduce the risk of damage.
• 2、Do hip braces for dogs really work?
• For ambulatory pets, a hip brace can be beneficial and work nicely for a large range of dogs. Supporting the hip joint eases discomfort and pain, while offering additional support that makes it easier for a dog with bad hips to move.
• 3、Do braces help with hip dysplasia?
• Hip braces can keep your hip and pelvic area stable while conditions heal, including: Hip fracture. Hip dysplasia.Since the hip support wraps over the dog's lower back, it makes it easier for a dog to walk pain-free. A hip brace is ideal for a pet dealing with early stage to moderate hip dysplasia. However, don't expect to see a difference right away.
• 4、Is it OK to walk a dog with hip dysplasia?
• Walking and moderate running can help strengthen the muscles around the joint. Your veterinarian may recommend that you try for two 20-minute walks each day — be sure to let your dog set the pace. As a general rule, try to avoid jumping or running for long distances.
• 5、What aggravates hip dysplasia in dogs?
• Improper nutrition can also influence a dog's likelihood of developing hip dysplasia, as can giving a dog too much or too little exercise. Obesity puts a lot of stress on your dog's joints, which can exacerbate a pre-existing condition such as hip dysplasia or even cause hip dysplasia.
• 6、How long will a dog live with hip dysplasia?
• Hip dysplasia should not shorten your dog's life at all. As long as it receives treatment and is well taken care of at home, any dog with the condition should go on to lead a full and active life. Problems only occur if the dog eats too much or discomfort prevents them from exercising enough to keep their weight down.
• 7、Do vets recommend leg braces for dogs?
• Your veterinarian may recommend a knee brace if your dog shows signs of fatigue or limping. A stifle brace for dogs can be combined with medication, physical therapy, and other treatment options to serve as an affordable and effective alternative to surgery.
• 8、How can I ease my dogs hip dysplasia?
• Treating Hip Dysplasia in Dogs

1.Weight reduction to take stress off of the hips.

2.Exercise restriction, especially on hard surfaces.

3.Physical therapy.

4.Joint supplements.

5.Anti-inflammatory medications (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroids)

6.Joint fluid modifiers.

• 9、Can a dog recover from hip dysplasia without surgery?
• While you cannot cure your dog of hip dysplasia without surgery, there are things you can do to help your dog have less pain, better mobility and better quality of life even if they have been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and you don't pursue surgery.
• 10、Does cold weather make hip dysplasia worse in dogs?
• Your pet may feel more discomfort during the winter since temperatures have dropped and may show more or worsening symptoms if they have been diagnosed with hip dysplasia.
• 11、What are the stages of hip dysplasia in dogs?
• Some experts divide hip dysplasia into two forms based on the age of onset of clinical signs: juvenile and mature. The juvenile form, as the name describes, occurs in dogs under 18 months of age while the mature form is seen in older dogs.
• 12、Does hip dysplasia hurt dogs?
• In hip dysplasia, the joint does not fit together snugly, causing instability. As a result, the joint will partially subluxate or move in and out of the socket. This may cause cartilage damage and severe arthritis in dogs as early as one year of age.
• 13、At what age do most dogs get hip dysplasia?
• These signs can be seen in puppies as early as a few months old but are most common in dogs one to two years of age. Dogs with mild hip dysplasia on radiographs (X-rays) may develop minimal arthritis without clinical signs until they are older.
• 14、How much does it cost to fix a dogs hip dysplasia?
• You can expect to pay from $1,200 to $2,500 or more, including pre-surgical bloodwork, procedure, anesthesia, post-surgical care, and medications. After the surgery, your dog could be required to remain in the hospital for anywhere between several hours and several days, depending on their health, and other factors.
• 15、What can dogs with hip dysplasia avoid?
• In young dogs, avoid feeding a high calorie, high fat, protein diet that leads to rapid bone growth and can cause genetic predispositions of hip dysplasia to manifest. Puppies should be given adequate food to promote slow, steady growth, not rapid growth that can lead to bone and joint problems.

I really like the design, but unfortunately I ordered a size too small, I requested a size xxl, and I think the hip position is well designed. Unfortunately, it cannot be overnighted, but I really like it.

My 9-year-old Max, has been struggling with hip dysplasia for over a year. We’ve tried joint supplements and pain meds, but he was still stiff and hesitant to climb stairs. After researching braces, I decided to try the Love Plus Pet Hip Dysplasia Brace—and I’m so glad I did!

What I Love:
✔ Easy to Adjust – The Velcro straps make it simple to get a secure yet comfortable fit.
✔ Sturdy Support – The brace keeps Max’s hips aligned without restricting his movement too much.
✔ Durable & Breathable – The material is high-quality and doesn’t overheat him, even after walks.
✔ Noticeable Improvement – Within a week, Max was moving more freely and even wanted to play fetch again!

Minor Drawback:

It took a few tries to adjust it perfectly (our vet helped the first time).

Final Thoughts:
This brace isn’t a miracle cure, but it has significantly improved Max’s comfort and mobility. If your dog has mild to moderate hip dysplasia, I highly recommend giving it a try—just consult your vet first for proper fitting advice. Worth every penny! 🐶💙

It is not a life-saving product, but it is a very good product to improve living conditions. At least it makes my dog walk less lame. I am very happy that my dog can have this change. He is a large dog, but he is already ten years old. I hope that he will at least not suffer so much in his old age.

This dog hip brace really exceeded my expectations! My 8-year-old Labrador always walks with a limp because of hip dysplasia, especially when going up and down stairs. After using this brace for two weeks, I can clearly see that his hind legs are stronger and he can keep up with my pace when taking a walk. The material is a breathable mesh design, so it won't be stuffy in the summer, and the Velcro is very firm and won't come loose easily. Although the price is not cheap, my mother didn't think it was necessary to buy these things for the dog. Fortunately, I insisted on buying it, and seeing that the dog is getting better and better, I really think it's worth it! Highly recommended to parents of medium and large dogs with joint problems!

My dog is old, and recently his hind legs have been unable to move, and he walks with a limp. I took him to the vet, who said there was something wrong with his hip joint and suggested that we try the protective gear.
This is what it looked like when I first bought it. The material is very soft and the lining is very thick. The dog did not feel any obvious discomfort after wearing it. What I am most satisfied with is its support effect. After the dog put it on, he walked much more steadily, and his hind legs no longer dragged on the ground. Although he was a little uncomfortable at first, he got used to it after a few days of use. Now every time I go out, he will take the initiative to come to me and let me put it on.
Sometimes I will adjust the length of the strap. I think this is better. Because my dog is getting older, he has become much smaller. It may be a little loose after a while, and I will adjust the strap for him. This way I don't have to change the size. I am very satisfied with this design.

I bought this hip brace for my dog, it's really good! My dog is old, and sometimes his hind legs are not very stable, especially when walking for a long time, he will drag a little. After using this brace, it feels much easier for him to walk, and he doesn't get tired as easily as before. The material is very soft and will not rub the skin. The dog doesn't resist wearing it, but seems to be quite comfortable. The only small problem is that it takes a little time to get used to it at first, but it's fine once you get used to it. In general, it is very cost-effective and recommended to families with dogs with similar problems!

This hip brace is really useful. The material is soft and breathable. The dog can move freely after wearing it, and there is no obvious resistance. For my dog's mild hip problem, it provides good support and feels more stable during daily activities. However, if it is a serious hip problem, it may need to be combined with other treatment methods, and the effect of the knee brace will be limited. In addition, it takes a little time to adjust to the right position when wearing it. Overall, this is a product worth trying, especially for dogs who need daily support!
