Our 13 year old tore a ligament in her hind left leg. In an attempt to help her without putting her through surgery, I ordered this brace. Waiting to recommend until I saw it was really helping. Our vet saw her walking with it and he was even impressed. Sizing is accurate as well.
I am really happy with the dog knee brace for torn acl, Diego. We are still making adjustments, but he is walking almost no limp. This dog acl brace is helping him with gaining musclear strength in his leg as well. ...Thank you so much!!!
The brace looked real good, but was way too small for my German shepherd. I think it would have worked great if it had been the right size. Will probably buy the same one in a larger size.
This gives good stability to the knee as long as it stays put. Every time my Boxer sat down or laid down it would slide over his knee and the strap would slide off his butt.
They work great, I have a 12 year old labrador. It was a little uncomfortable the first time I put it on for her, but she liked it more and more after that. I could see how she was going up and down the steps, even jumping on the sofa.
I bought 2 for the same leg to try sizes (chihuahua and jack russel), neither fit and returned both for the size above (fox terrier) and this one fitted. I guess he has deceptively beefy legs for a little doggy.
Our boxer dog had surgery right above the knee. We tried everything after the robert jones bandage to keep him from licking and protect the wound. No other bandage or brace would stay in place because the knee is very mobile. This brace set works perfect as a lick guard for wound management around the knee. It also appears comfortable. It allowed for extra foam wound pad underneath. It can be used with any harness but the connecting strap is important.
Purchased these hock wraps to help my 12 year old Labrador who has been having problems with his hocks when walking outdoors. Only used them for two weeks but so far they appear to be helping to support his hocks. They are very easy to put on and my dog has no problems wearing them.
