We use this size for our Chesapeake, a size XL, for the horrible calluses on his elbows that are healing. It helps protect the injured area and provides extra cushioning. Also helps keep the bandage from slipping off your leg. It's easy to put on, stays secure, stretchy and soft. I also hand washed it and threw it in the dryer and it was still perfect. Dog Elbow Dysplasia Brace

My golden retriever gets a swollen elbow from time to time due to carelessness and he falls hard on it and I love this concept. It's definitely a great form of protection when it's assembled and the pups are wild. Fortunately, her hygroma has decreased over time and age as she is no longer as clumsy. It's still there so I check it every few days, but as she gets older she's more careful every day. I'm so glad I bought this product.
