I have a 15-year-old border collie suffering from severe hip dysplasia. His legs splay out, making it challenging for him to walk. He had given up going outside until I discovered this brace. Bought this hip brace for my dog. I have to say, the design of the handle is perfect. She was willing to move once she put them on and even asked me to take her out for a walk (yes, she was super excited). At first, she would stumble, but I would hold the handle and bring it to her to help her get down the steps of our yard. On flat ground, she can move freely. Our 15-year-old, 72-pound mixed breed dog has lost muscle mass in her rear, causing her to be unable to lie down, stand, or take the daily walks she enjoys. Almost a year now and she loves wearing it. This bracket is the second backup we ordered. The quality is really good, very fine workmanship, easy to use and clean. Hip Brace for Dogs with Hip Dysplasia

My dog is 14 years old and has hip dysplasia and arthritis. I would not use this product every day for fear that my dog would become completely dependent on the brace. However, when his arthritis really kicks in and he's limping, I put it on and can easily see how stable he is on his morning walks. Yes, he was also able to do "his thing" while wearing the brace. The only problem I had initially was trying to figure out how to properly position the bracket and how tight it should be. After some trial and error, we found the answer. Once put on correctly, he bounced around with confidence. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product.
