My poor Lulu licked her feet until there were wounds all over her toes, so I bought this sleeve to try. It really stopped the licking and biting, and the wounds did not get worse and recovered a little. However, my dog was not used to it at all. After putting it on, he kept scratching with his claws and even tried to tear the sleeve off. It took him one or two times to get used to it, but if your dog is very resistant to wearing things, you may need patience.

This is almost like a neoprene sleeve, fairly thick and stiff. We have a senior dog with an ulceration on her elbow and she has to keep it covered, I was hoping this would work but it is too thick to let the wound have some air flow, along with the rest of her leg. A little stiff on her too, and as she doesn't walk super well at her age already not the best. If you needed more of a compression fit this might be for you, for our purposes it's too thick and tight. Seemed to stay on ok when we tried it on her.

I bought the right size and it fits nicely when I first put it on, but it didn't take long for it to pull the sleeves down on its own. The elasticity and design of the sleeves are good, and they can fully cover the dog's four legs, but when the dog is more active, the protector doesn't always stay in place. This sleeve has been effective for my dog to prevent licking and biting, especially after surgery. However, after about two weeks of use, the sleeve's elasticity began to wear out and there were some areas of wear, especially around the joints. For most dogs, it will be a short-term solution, but may not be suitable for long-term use.
